Even though the hotel lacks character and is on a busy street, the service we received was outstanding. They went above and beyond when they changed our reservation date, after we found out the Taj Mahal monument is closed on Fridays. Also, the rooms are very clean, and their Indian restaurant has very good food and service.

Staying at the Agra Gateway Hotel during our three day visit allowed us to relax quickly and plan our visits to the Agra Fort, the Taj Mahal and Fatepur Sikri. The staff work hard to please you. The pool was ideal for afternoon relaxing after the sightseeing visits. The food was good enough not to bother eating outside of the hotel. If in Agra again, we would return to the Gateway - value for money.

The Gateway is well positioned to the main sites in Agra like the Taj Mahal. The hotel is very nice, well appointed with a variety of casual seating areas, shopping opportunities, and a very large outdoor garden/pool area for relaxing. What stood out most of all was the high level of service; from the doorman to the hotel front desk staff, housekeeping and restaurant staff, they made the stay exceptional.
