The Trident offers luxurious accommodation in centrally air-conditioned 135 rooms and 2 Suites. The rooms are divided into 86 Deluxe Garden View and 46 Deluxe Pool View Rooms. As the names suggest, the Garden View rooms offer excellent views of the Mughal style gardens, manicured to perfection, while the Pool View rooms offer easy access to the swimming pool along with the soothing and calming view of the enormous pool. Each of these rooms has an attached washroom. The 2 Suites each have an elegantly furnished bedroom and a living room with an additional washroom.

I would rate the hotel staff a full 10. The manager was very polite and understanding. However the rooms are a real turn off. I was quite thrilled at staying there but after my stay at the Maurya Sheraton in Delhi, this was a total doom. Bathrooms are extremely shabby and stinky. Rooms are even worse and extremely small. Carpets are greasy. I quite expected the opposite at my stay.

It can be a bit tricky to find a comfortable place to stay in Agra. Many of the typical hotels you see on the streets of Agra may seem a bit sketchy to tourists new to the area. And not everyone has 500$ to shell out to stay at the Oberoi. The Trident is a perfect alternative. It is very close to the Taj Mahal and at the same time is tucked nicely away from the rest of Agra. It's almost like an Oasis offering a wide variety of great food and services.

I went with my wife for 5 days of relaxation in the middle of summer. The hotel was pretty empty (we like it that way). The hotel is a small one and thus you get personalized service. The prices were reasonable except for alcohol. Alcohol is pricier than US (may be not other places). The hotel was going through some renovation is some sections. So, there was some noise during the day but nothing too bad. The TV service is pretty bad with very few channels. There were channels for non-Indians which I am sure the foreigners will love. Excellent service, clean hotel, nice staff. Definitely will return there again.
